Guitar Scales Power is an invaluable tool for guitar players at any skill level, offering comprehensive lessons on a wide range of commonly used scales and modes. One of the standout features of the app is the option to practice scale position loops, which not only helps you master the positions but also builds muscle memory. By learning scales, you can improve your finger dexterity and develop the ability to improvise. The app encourages a gradual approach, starting with slow practice and gradually increasing speed as your skills progress.
The app allows you to play scales by swiping across the guitar strings, with the direction of the swipe dictating whether the playback is ascending or descending. Scale position loops can be played by tapping the play loop button.
Learning scales is made easier with five patterns provided for each scale, covering the entire fretboard. These scale positions correspond to the popular CAGED system, and the app displays the corresponding chord shape for each position. This feature helps you learn and remember scale positions in any key.
In addition to its focus on scales, Guitar Scales Power includes a highly accurate chromatic tuner. This allows you to easily tune your guitar, with the option to choose from various tuning options or use chromatic mode. You can also adjust the reference frequency used by the tuner and playback instruments within a range of 410 Hz - 470 Hz (default A = 440 Hz).

Scales included in the app cover a wide range, such as major and minor pentatonic, blues, major scale modes (including Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian), minor scales (including harmonic and melodic minor ascending), and symmetrical scales like chromatic.
The app also provides various tuning options, including standard tuning, half step down tuning, full step down tuning, drop D tuning, and open G tuning.
